Tip #1: Copying a URL into a Message

If your customer wants to share a specific website with a friend, he doesn’t have to leave the browser. From MEdia™ Net, just press the Options soft key, then choose Copy URL to Message > Send To, enter the person’s phone number, and press Send.

Press the Message button on the phone.
Use the Navigation key to highlight IM and press .

Tip #10: Search for Phone Number During a Call

To search for a phone number in the address list during a call, press Options > Address Book, highlight the entry, and press the View soft key, or enter the first few letters of the contact in the search field, highlight the correct selection, and press the View soft key.

How to transfer/sync Mp3 to AT&T Samsung Mythic

Got New At & t samsung Mythic A897 cell phones, if you want to  transfer/sync mp3 files to Your Samsung Mythic for AT&T,, You have different options to go, you may transfer mp3 files through memory card ,Via Bluetooth,  from another phone, Using PC Studio, From a PC, via a Bluetooth adaptor, Using Windows Media Player, Using Mass Storage.

Samsung Mobile USA give the details steps by steps guide for transfer mp3 music files between PC and your AT & T samsung Mythic A897.

1) To transfer MP3 files, using the New Samsung PC Studio & a USB cable, to a PC follow the steps below:

  1. From the standby screen, insure that the USB mode setting is set to either PC Studio or Ask on Connection
    • For instructions on changing the USB mode setting
  1. Connect the USB cable to both the phone’s Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC’s USB slot
    • When successfully connected, the phone will show the connected icon on the top of the display
  1. If prompted, Select the PC Studio USB setting
  2. The New Samsung PC Studio program will automatically appear on the PC
  3. Click on the SGH-A897 icon, located in the upper right corner, to open a box showing the handset’s internal memory
  4. Double click on the Audio folder then double click on the Music folder
  5. Click on the My Computer icon , located in the upper left corner, to open a box showing the PC’s  internal memory
  6. Navigate to the PC’s MP3 file location, or desired destination
  7. Drag and Drop or Copy (or Cut) and Paste the MP3 files between the My Computer box and the SGH-A897 box or vice versa

2)To transfer MP3 files, using the Mass Storage option, follow the steps below:

  1. Insert a formatted memory card into the memory card slot, located under the battery cover
  2. From the standby screen, insure that the USB mode setting is set to either Mass Storage or Ask on Connection
    • For instructions on changing the USB mode setting, click here.
  1. Connect the USB cable to both the phone’s Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC’s USB slot
    • When successfully connected, the phone will show the connected icon on the top of the display
  1. If prompted, Select the Mass Storage USB setting
  2. If prompted, click “Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer” on the new Removable Disk screen or open Windows Explorer manually
  1. Navigate to the MP3 file location on the PC
  2. Drag n Drop or copy & paste the MP3 file into into the phone’s Music or Tones folders, located within the Audio folder, on the handset

3) To transfer MP3 files, using the Windows Media Player Sync Music option, follow the steps below:

  1. From the standby screen, insure that the USB mode setting is set to either Media Player or Ask on Connection

  1. Connect the USB cable to both the phone’s Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC’s USB slot
    • When successfully connected, the phone will show the connected icon on the top of the display
  1. If prompted, select the Media Player USB setting
  1. Open Windows Media Player 10 or higher then click on the Sync tab
  2. From the Windows Media Player application Sync tab, ensure that the SGH-A897 device displays in the upper-right corner of the screen. If not, click on Next device until the SGH-A897 appears.
  3. Click on the Library plus sign (+) then click on Songs to display a list
  4. Drag or Add the MP3 file(s) from the library to the Sync List or playlist
  5. Select Start Sync to transfer the MP3 file(s) to the handset memory
  6. After the file transfer is completed it will be safe to remove the USB data cable from both the handset & PC

4) To transfer (Via a memory card) MP3 files, from a PC, to the Samsung phone follow the steps below:

In order to use this option, the microSD memory card must be formatted by the phone to create the necessary folders. For instructions on how to format a microSD memory card, click here. Please note that the minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This handset supports the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card.

Note: Audio files less than 300 KB are treated as ringtones, whereas audio files which are greater than 300 KB are stored in the Music Folder. You can not set an MP3 file as a ringtone if it is larger than 300 KB.

On the PC

  1. Insert the microSD memory card into the memory card adaptor
  2. Insert the memory card adaptor into the memory card reader
  3. Connect the memory card reader to the PC’s USB port
  4. Copy desired MP3 files from the PC hard drive
  5. Paste the MP3 files into the microSD memory card’s Music or Tones folder, within the Audio folder
  6. Remove the microSD memory card from the memory card adaptor

On the Samsung phone

  1. Insert the microSD memory card into the memory card slot, located under the battery cover
  2. From the standby screen, press Menu
  3. Scroll to Main Menu 3 then press My Stuff
  4. Press the drop down arrow then press Memory Card
  5. Press Audio
  6. Press either the Music or Tones folder
  7. Press Manage
  8. Press either Move or Copy
  9. Press on each MP3 file to check their boxes or press All to check all boxes
  10. Press either Move or Copy

A: There are four different methods to transfer pictures from the samsung mythic to a PC. Each are explained, in depth in below:

1) To transfer Picture/Video files, using the New Samsung PC Studio & a USB cable, to or from a PC follow the steps below:

  • From the standby screen, insure that the USB mode setting is set to either PC Studio or Ask on Connection
    • For instructions on changing the USB mode setting
    1. Connect the USB cable to both the phone’s Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC’s USB slot
      • When successfully connected, the phone will show the connected icon on the top of the display
    1. If prompted, Select the PC Studio USB setting
    2. The New Samsung PC Studio program will automatically appear on the PC
    3. Click on the SGH-A897 icon, located in the top right corner, to open a box showing the handset’s internal memory
    4. Double click on the Pictures or Videos folder (Internal Memory)
    1. Click on the My Computer icon, located in the upper left corner, to open a box showing the PC’s  internal memory
    2. Navigate to the PC’s picture or video location or destination
    3. Drag and Drop or Copy (or Cut) and Paste the pictures or videos between the My Computer box and the SGH-A897 box or vice versa

2) To transfer Picture/Video files, using Windows Explorer & a USB cable, between the phone and a PC follow the steps below:

  1. Insert the formatted microSD memory card into the memory card slot, located under the battery cover
  2. When correctly inserted, the memory card icon  is displayed
  1. From the standby screen, press Menu
  2. Using your finger press and hold swiping left or right to access Main Menu 3
  3. Press My Stuff
  4. Press Pictures or Videos to view the contents
  5. Press Manage
  6. Press either Move or Copy
  7. Press each image to check their box or press All to check All boxes
  8. Press either Move or Copy
  9. Press Memory Card
  10. Press either Pictures or Videos
  11. Press Paste Here to Move or Copy the Photo(s)/Video(s) to the microSD memory card
  12. Remove the microSD memory card from the memory card slot
  13. Insert the microSD memory card into the memory card adaptor
  14. Insert the memory card adaptor into the memory card reader
  15. Insert the memory card reader into the USB slot on the PC
  16. Navigate to the desired Photo/Video destination location, using Windows Explorer, then paste the Photo(s)/Video(s) into the destination on the PC

4) Via Bluetooth

    1. From the standby screen, press Menu
    2. Press and hold finger on screen sliding right or left for Main Menu 3
    3. Press Settings
    4. Press Connectivity
    5. Press Bluetooth
    6. Press the Bluetooth icon below to enable or disable Bluetooth
  • Note: Both Bluetooth devices MUST support Bluetooth FTP (File Transfer Profile)

    To transfer (via a Bluetooth adaptor) Photo/Video files, from the Samsung SGH-A897 (Mythic) phone, to a PC follow the steps below:

    On the Samsung SGH-A897 (Mythic) phone

On the PC

  1. Connect the Bluetooth adaptor to the PC’s USB port
  2. Search for Bluetooth devices
  3. Select the device to pair with the PC
  4. Exchange PIN code(s) on both the PC & phone to pair devices (default pass code is “0000”)
  5. Using My Bluetooth Places, select File Transfer to view the phone’s contents
  6. Copy the desired Photo/Video file
  7. Paste the file in a PC destination
